Draft Consignment

This page group contains operations such as creating and processing (sending) consignments in Draft type.

What is a Draft Consignment?

Draft Consignment refers to shipments that are recorded in the system but have not yet been submitted for shipping. It is typically used in the following scenarios:

  • To create a temporary record for shipments where the pre-shipment preparation process has not been completed,
  • To keep planned shipments in the system that have not yet been finalized in terms of timing,
  • To manage situations where the shipment needs to be postponed due to missing or pending approval information.

Draft Consignment Workflow

Creating Draft

The user creates a new draft consignment without having to fully complete the shipment information at hand. This consignment is recorded with "draft" status.

Updating/Editing Draft

The user can complete missing information or make as many edits as desired on the draft.

Processing Draft

When the information is complete and accurate, the user "converts the draft to a consignment". With this action, the shipment becomes active and takes its place among the processed consignments in the system.

(Optional) Deleting or Canceling Draft

If the consignment is no longer needed or was created by mistake, the user can delete or cancel the draft from the system. This step is only valid for drafts that have not been converted to consignments.
